The team
Team DevExp's goal is to provide reliable, easy-to-use tools and knowledge to boost developer productivity and satisfaction and empower teams to deliver value fast without breaking things.
With us you get an opportunity to:
- Increase stability and throughput of CI and CD pipelines, reducing wait time, eliminating context switching, and reducing lead time for changes.
- Ensure Cloud Development Environments at Glia (DevSpaces) support all workflows required.
- Save engineers from reinventing the wheel by providing standard unified solutions and tools. We’re actively collaborating with the internal Tech Community and other engineering teams.
- Analyze developer productivity and developer satisfaction using both system metrics and survey results.

Team DevExp plays an important role in supporting product teams in achieving our business goals. All projects within the team’s space are planned, led, and executed by engineers and the team has an opportunity to contribute to the team's roadmap creation.
While Team DevExp has engineers in Estonia (both Tallinn and Tartu) our processes are optimized for remote collaboration. We work in the Eastern European time zone (EET/EEST). For this role we hire in Estonia and Poland.

- Persistence: Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Apache Druid
- Cache: Amazon ElastiCache for Redis
- Event Streaming: Apache Kafka
- Message Broker: RabbitMQ
- Monitoring: DataDog
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible
Additionally, engineering teams at Glia use:
- Backend: Elixir and Ruby
- Frontend: JavaScript and ReactJS
- Native mobile SDKs: Java and Swift
Requirements
- Experience in building and maintaining reliable and highly available systems. We’d expect you to have a solid understanding of system design as we would love to learn a thing or two.
- Strong infrastructure knowledge, experience in working with cloud infrastructure and running containerized applications
- Prior experience with leading complex projects, affecting multiple teams
- At home with Linux/Unix tools and ecosystem
- Infrastructure-as-Code enthusiast
- Experience in coding that extends beyond scripting
- Knowledge (and preferably experience) with SRE practices
