About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead and drive our payment-related engineering teams. This role is crucial in managing and scaling our global payments ecosystem, ensuring seamless payment provider integrations, subscription management, order processing, tax handling, coupon code management, invoices, payment links, estimates, eCommerce store integrations, and document/contract automation.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead multiple teams, architect robust payment solutions, and ensure system scalability, security, and reliability. You will also play a critical role in expanding our global payment footprint by integrating multiple payment providers across different countries, ensuring seamless international transactions and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the payments domain, strong technical leadership skills, and proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, Vue.js, MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

Teams You Will Be Responsible For:
Core Payments TeamManages subscriptions, integrations, orders, taxes, and coupon codes.Handles secure and scalable payment provider integrations.Payment Products TeamDevelops and maintains invoices, payment links, and estimates.Ensures seamless transaction processing and reconciliation.Ecom Store TeamOversees the store infrastructure and third-party store integrations.Optimizes checkout and payment flows for seamless customer experience.Documents & Contracts TeamManages document and contract generation, digital agreements.Ensures compliance and security of document storage and processing.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & System Design
1.Architect and scale global payment processing systems to handle high transaction volumes.
2.Design and optimize integrations with multiple payment providers worldwide.
3.Enhance and streamline subscriptions, invoices, and tax calculations.
4.Improve coupon code application, order processing, and checkout flows.
5.Lead the enhancement of payment links and estimate generation systems.
6.Work on real-time analytics and financial reporting.
7.Optimize document and contract handling for legal and financial compliance.

Expanding Global Payment Capabilities
1.Integrate payment providers from multiple countries to support a diverse user base.
2.Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax laws.
3.Implement multi-currency support, cross-border payments, and dynamic currency conversion.
4.Enhance fraud detection systems for region-specific fraud patterns and security threats.

Team Leadership & Execution
1.Lead and mentor engineering teams across Payments, Payment Products, Ecom Store, and Documents & Contracts.
2.Define and drive engineering best practices, ensuring high-quality, scalable code.
3.Collaborate with Product, Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to align technical execution with business goals.
4.Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence.
5.Lead performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to ensure career development

Stakeholder Collaboration
1.Ensure alignment of engineering solutions with business objectives and user experience needs.
2.Work with external payment providers in different countries to enhance transaction security and efficiency.

Must-Have Skills

1.Strong expertise in system design and scalable microservices architecture.
2.Deep understanding of global payments, subscriptions, multi-currency processing, and tax handling, online store
3.Hands-on experience with payment gateways, tokenization, and fraud prevention.
4.Proficiency in Node.js, NestJS for backend development.
5.Strong knowledge of Vue.js for frontend applications.
6.Experience with databases: MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
7.Experience with API design, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
8.Experience in handling high-volume transactions and real-time payment processing.
9.Knowledge of security best practices
