Junior Android Developer

Join us as a Junior Android Developer to help our mission to enhance online privacy with innovative tools. Help develop FastPN for Android mobile, tablet and TV applications. Be part of a dynamic team composed of various operating system experts, UX, QA and Product where you can directly impact the end product.

Location: 100% remote, based in Portugal

The Interview Process: 3 stages - 45 min HR conversation -> 1h Live Technical discussion -> 1h Values Interview

Tools: Kotlin, Java

Reporting to: FastVPN Product Manager

Your team: 5 people (1 Manager, 1 Senior Backend, 2 Senior Front end and YOU!)

What will be your responsibilities? 

• Support the ongoing development and maintenance of our Android VPN app. 

• Contribute to the architecture and design of an Android TV app version. 

• Collaborate closely with the team on new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements. 

• Be a proactive team member - we value all opinions and ideas. 

• Stay updated with the latest development best practices and trends.

What will you bring? 

• Proven Android Development Experience: Android app development using Kotlin, Java.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and practices. 

• A growth-oriented mindset with a desire to explore new tools and platforms. 

• Familiarity with iOS or cross-platform development is a plus.
