VP Marketing

UAV & Robotics

Remote – US


Airbotics Talent are supporting a pioneering US-based drone and robotics client as they build out their senior leadership team. Our customer develops advanced UAV and robotic systems, used across a range of commercial application – with a strong focus on autonomy, AI, and data integration.


This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the US. Occasional travel will be required for strategic events, internal collaboration, and high-value customer engagement.


The Role


As VP Marketing, you will lead the strategic direction of the marketing function – owning brand, demand generation, go-to-market and product positioning across key verticals. You will play a pivotal role in aligning commercial and technical teams, elevating the company’s profile in competitive markets, and driving consistent pipeline growth.


This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who blends strategic vision with operational execution.


Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Leadership: Define and own the marketing vision, strategy and roadmap. Establish marketing OKRs and reporting cadence across brand, product and growth functions.

• Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to develop go-to-market plans for new product launches, territory expansion and market penetration.

• Brand Positioning: Build a compelling brand narrative that resonates with technical buyers, procurement teams and end-users.

• Demand Generation: Design and implement multi-channel campaigns to drive qualified inbound leads and support outbound sales motions. Optimize performance across digital, content and events.

• Team Building: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including growth marketers, product marketers and creative talent. Drive culture, mentorship and development.

• Partnership Marketing: Work closely with alliance, integration and channel partners to develop joint marketing initiatives and strengthen ecosystem visibility.

• Content & Thought Leadership: Own the editorial calendar and oversee content creation, including whitepapers, case studies, video, and thought leadership aligned to customer pain points.

• Analytics & Reporting: Implement marketing tools and analytics to track funnel performance, attribution and ROI. Use data to guide continuous improvement.


The Person


The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven success in a senior marketing leadership role (VP or Director-level), within drones or industrial robotics applications. This product experience is essential.

• Experience launching products into highly regulated or technically complex markets.

• Demonstrated ability to scale marketing functions in a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment.

• A creative yet data-driven mindset, with expertise across brand, product, digital and growth marketing.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills – especially with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Previous experience managing remote or distributed teams.

• A relevant Bachelor's degree is preferred; a technical understanding of UAV systems is advantageous but not essential.
