Organization Overview:

The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) is the leading national organization dedicated to improving the lives of those living with Lewy body dementia (LBD), the second most common form of neurodegenerative dementia affecting approximately 1.4 million people in the United States alone.

Established in 2003, LBDA’s mission is to optimize the quality of life for those affected by LBD by accelerating awareness, advancing research for early diagnosis and improved care, and providing comprehensive education and compassionate support.

The Opportunity:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns and strategies which support LBDA’s programs, fundraising goals, and increasing brand awareness. The ideal candidate should be proficient in day-to-day marketing activities, adept at meeting deadlines and able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will inspire and manage a team of two marketing professionals, provide project management, oversee creative development and monitor campaign performance. As a member of the Marketing & Communications team, the Marketing Manager shares the responsibility of ensuring all campaign assets are of high quality, adhere to brand guidelines and advance the mission of LBDA.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management: Oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across various channels like digital, email, social media, print, and events.
  • Project Management: Maintain project guidelines and procedures, steward all project requests to be completed on time and on budget, ensure regular and transparent communication between all team members and project stakeholders
  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of creative briefs and guide the creation and distribution of high-quality content and assets for all public facing communications including website, social media and email marketing, video, print materials and other branded collateral.
  • Brand Management: Protect and enhance LBDA’s brand identity across all communication channels and partners.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Supervise a team of two marketing professionals, providing project oversight, mentorship and guidance. Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with project objectives and goals.
  • Marketing Collateral: Maintain inventory of print and promotional materials, event assets and other collateral. Manage relationships with vendors. Organize and manage shipment of materials for conferences, meetings and events as required.
  • Data Analysis: Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordingly. Working with the MarCom team, develop campaign performance reports.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing with an emphasis on project management and creative direction; non-profit marketing preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of personnel management experience
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns from concept to completion
  • Strong writing and editorial skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of best practices and industry standards; understanding of ADA compliance preferred.
  • High level proficiency in marketing technology including but not limited to project management, Google analytics, social media management, design applications and CRM platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build relationships and engage a variety of key stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task
  • Creative thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel (anticipated between 5-10%)
