Job Description

Job Title: Culinary Entertainment Director

Location: Remote

Firm Size: 5-10 Employees

Industry Focus: Food & Beverage Entertainment

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Director with a passion for storytelling and a sharp understanding of the personalities shaping today’s food and entertainment landscape. In this role, you’ll lead high-profile, personality-driven accounts—working closely with chefs, culinary talent, media personalities, and lifestyle brands to build strategic narratives and drive meaningful visibility.

As a senior member of our team, you’ll oversee the development and execution of tailored PR strategies, guide a team of publicists, and maintain strong, trusted relationships with top-tier media. You’ll be expected to think big, act fast, and elevate each client’s unique voice—whether launching a new show, building a personal brand, or navigating a fast-changing media moment.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of food, culture, and entertainment, and who knows how to translate a client’s personality into lasting impact. Experience with talent representation, brand-building, and lifestyle media is essential. You'll also play a key role in agency growth through new business development and client expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight & Talent Positioning: Lead the development and execution of high-impact PR strategies that elevate culinary personalities, drive brand visibility, and support long-term client goals across media, partnerships, and entertainment opportunities.
  • Client & Talent Management: Serve as the strategic lead and main point of contact for chef, personality, and brand clients—offering expert counsel on personal brand building, media positioning, and industry trends. Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and results-driven execution.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of junior and mid-level staff, fostering a collaborative, media-forward culture. Guide your team in shaping strong narratives, media strategies, and talent-facing communication. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Campaign & Brand Narrative Development: Oversee the creation and rollout of integrated campaigns across earned media, social, and event activations. Ensure all campaign elements—from message development to media outreach—align with each client’s unique voice and growth trajectory.
  • Media Relations & Thought Leadership: Maintain strong relationships with food, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture media. Lead the charge in identifying media moments, pitching feature stories, placing talent in high-profile conversations, and crafting opportunities that go beyond the plate.
  • New Business & Agency Growth: Contribute to new business strategy and pitches, with a sharp eye for identifying talent and brand prospects that align with the agency’s strengths. Play an active role in shaping proposals and onboarding new accounts.
  • Reporting & Impact Analysis: Oversee the development of client reporting that goes beyond clip counts—analyzing reach, messaging, and relevance. Offer actionable insights and guide clients in understanding the broader impact of their media presence.
  • Event & Appearance Strategy: Lead strategy and execution for media-facing events, brand activations, on-camera appearances, and culinary panels. Ensure each opportunity reflects the client’s brand and delivers high visibility within target audiences.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of PR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. Experience in entertainment PR preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, media relations expertise, and campaign execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and client communications
  • Proven success in new business development and pitching
  • A strong passion for food, drink, hospitality and entertainment
  • Proficient in PR tools and analytics platforms

  • Flexible work hours
  • Unlimited vacation days
  • Monthly dining stipend
  • Company issued laptop
  • Continuing Education
