Job Description

Position: Power Portal / Power Apps Developer

Location: Remote (need to be based in the USA)

Clearance: Public Trust

TTC Inc. is looking to hire a remote motivated and energetic Power Apps Developer to work on contract with the Department of Transportation (DoT) and the Federal Railroad Association (FRA). Candidate/Employee will be part of a small team that takes existing manual processes and focuses on turning these processes into customized user-centric applications. These applications will be interactive, responsive and personalized to each process. At the beginning of each project, the Developer will work with the Business Analysts, Business Owners, and Product Owner to outline the future state of the process. After the future state has been determined, the developer will be responsible for developing the initial wireframes and demoing them to the Business Owners. Once the User Stories are added to the Azure DevOps Board, the Developer will be responsible for going into each User Story and adding tasks and hours. When a User Story is complete, the Developer will conduct their own unit and functional testing before turning over any work to a Tester. Throughout the development process source code as well as solutions should be stored in a DOT approved GIT repository.

This position requires a Public Trust Clearance - candidates need to be either a US citizen or a Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), and have worked for 3 yrs consecutively in the United States to qualify for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop User Centric applications that are customized through Microsoft (MS) Power Platform utilizing an (Iterative) Agile methodology.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure the applications developed capture the needs of the business.
  • Lead development for the creation and deployment of prototypes and new applications by leveraging various technology solutions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to prepare functional specifications for applications.
  • Present technical ideas and approaches to peers or the IT team.
  • Leverage existing API’s and integrating the endpoints into PowerApps.
  • Develop System Administrator Guides.
  • Create and assist with documentation like System Administrator Guides, Release Notes, Transition Guides.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft (MS) Power Portal development
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft (MS) PowerApps development
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft (MS) Power Automate development.
  • 5+ years of experience with HTML
  • 5+ years of experience with CSS.
  • 3+ years of experience working with JSON.
  • 2+ years of experience in C# or .NET or Java development.
