Technical Product Manager & Full-Stack Engineer (f/m/d)

Your mission

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with a strong engineering background to take ownership of the Application Platform powering deskbird. Your mission is to enable our product teams to build on a scalable, flexible, and enterprise-ready application platform. You will work closely with engineering, product management, UI/UX, and external stakeholders to define and execute the platform roadmap.

This is a hybrid role where you will shape the platform strategy while also contributing hands-on as a Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js / Angular). The extent and nature of your development work can be adjusted based on your background.

In this role you will

• Own the backlog for the Application Platform, currently serving 100,000+ monthly active users, ensuring it meets product teams’ needs and scales with our business.
• Define and drive platform features, improvements, and technical investments in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to validate platform features early, shaping solutions that balance usability, flexibility, and maintainability.
• Implement, enhance, and maintain critical aspects of our platform, including Node.js services and our Angular frontend.
• Drive technical standardisation, ensuring consistency across authentication, authorisation, user and group management, integrations with external systems, as well as performance and scalability optimisations.

What you need to be successful

• 7+ years of experience building scalable web applications in total, mostly as developer. Ideally first technical product manager or product owner experience.
• A product mindset with experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of application platform engineering, public APIs, authentication mechanisms, role-based authorisation, and third-party data integrations.
• Experience designing for enterprise security, compliance, and multi-tenancy in SaaS platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
• The ability to balance hands-on development with strategic product ownership.
• A track record of leading cross-team engineering initiatives and driving adoption of platform improvements.
• Bonus points for experience with Google Cloud Platform.
