Job Description

We are seeking an experienced  Staff Frontend Software Engineer  to join our fully remote team. As a key player in our Engineering team, you will contribute to architectural design and have an impact on how we develop our product. This role demands solid software engineering and web programming foundations and the ability to drive significant business value through technical solutions.

 

Our tech stack (the bigger the overlap, the better):

  • Languages : TypeScript, JavaScript

  • Frameworks and State Management: React, Context API, Redux

  • Testing : Jest, React Testing Library, Webdriver.io

  • Observability : Sentry

  • Others : Swagger, OpenAPI, Protobufs, WebSockets, Antlr, RxJs

 

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Development and Code Review:  Participate in daily software development activities, diving deep into complex problems and researching and implementing effective solutions.

  • Project Leadership: Lead the development of larger, strategic features for the web UI application, working within a team of 2-5 engineers, ensuring successful delivery, task decomposition, and clear communication of ETAs and challenges.

  • Architecture Design:  Design and implement architectural solutions for complex problems, focusing on performance, maintainability, and providing optimal user experience.

  • Propose Improvements:  Continuously seek ways to enhance the product, code base, and team processes.

 

You might be a fit if you have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong proficiency in algorithmic thinking and problem-solving.

  • Deep understanding of the web tech stack and its building blocks, including web app security and network protocols.

  • Solid software engineering foundations, ability to handle or debug issues in unfamiliar technologies or codebases.

  • Concise and logical communication, both written and verbal.

  • Customer-centric approach with the ability to balance business goals with technical purity, especially when adapting to high-paced, shifting priorities.

  • Experience in leading 3-5 people engineering teams.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications.

  • Familiarity with state management libraries and patterns (e.g., Redux, MobX, etc.).

  • Experience with backend technologies (e.g., NodeJS and/or Rust) and ability to contribute to full-stack development.
