Position Overview
The Engineering Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of 3 (potentially 4) developers in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, meet operational objectives, and align with the overall business needs. The Team Leader will provide technical guidance, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure adherence to industry best practices and technical standards.
You will manage the team that oversees all the core components of our Maxo product (e.g. authentication, access rights, security) but also our developers’ experience (CI/CD pipeline, Cloud configuration, framework selection).
Key Responsibilities
Team Management (30%):
- Lead and manage a team of software developers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to high-quality standards.
- Ensure rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to guarantee that software solutions are reliable, user-friendly, and free of critical bugs.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and other departments to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the development team.
Technical Standards / Architecture (15%):
- Establish and enforce coding standards, technical guidelines, and best practices to ensure efficiency, maintainability, and scalability of the software solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, ensuring that they meet user requirements and align with company objectives.
HR Coordination (15%):
- Oversee the recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development of team members, ensuring efficient and effective team operations.
- Mentor and coach developers, fostering skill development and creating a cohesive, high-performing team environment.
Software development (40%):
- Get your hands in the code and contribute to some of the critical/complex coding tasks.
Skills
- 5 year’s experience including 3+ years as team lead.
- Experience with Public Cloud a must! (Bonus point for AWS)
- Experience with Kotlin.
- Experience with SQL DB (Bonus point for SQL Server)
