Summary

We’re looking for a skilled and versatile Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Anaconda Navigator team, working on a high-impact project that aims to redefine how millions of users interact with Anaconda’s tools and services. Anaconda Navigator serves as a gateway to our unified platform, Anaconda Hub, and you’ll play a key role in rebuilding this essential application to create a seamless cross-platform experience. What You’ll Do:

  • Feature Development: Design, build, and maintain front-end and back-end features for the Anaconda Navigator, ensuring smooth integration with Anaconda Hub and other products.
  • User Interface & Experience: Collaborate with product managers and designers to create intuitive and productive user experiences for both new and advanced Anaconda users.
  • Backend Services: Develop and maintain backend services to support Navigator’s functionality, optimizing for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with team members to identify challenges and propose innovative solutions that enhance application performance and user engagement.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, implementing best practices to ensure code quality, security, and robustness.
  • Testing and Debugging: Identify and troubleshoot issues, contribute to testing strategies, and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.


What You Need:

  • Technical Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer, with a proven record of building desktop or web applications using Electron, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python. Involved in shipping an Electron application for multiple platforms (Windows, MacOS and Linux) in production.
  • Front-End Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, NextJS) for creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces. Experience with HTML and CSS is essential.
  • Back-End Skills: Experience with Python and RESTful APIs, and familiarity with backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling principles.
  • Cross-Platform Development: Familiarity with Electron or similar frameworks for cross-platform desktop applications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues proactively, analyze root causes, and collaborate effectively to implement solutions.
  • User-Focused Mindset: Passion for creating user-friendly applications and a willingness to iterate based on user feedback.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Familiarity with Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, etc.) and knowledge of integrating desktop applications with cloud services.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools is big plus.
  • Open Source contributions in NodeJS, Electron, React, or related ecosystem projects
  • Experience with OS-Native (Eg Windows) APIs / Programming
  • Experience with Cloud architectures, APIs, and programming patterns
  • Experience maintaining or building native (C/C++) modules for NodeJS
