Related Job Titles/Skill Sets:

  • Data Center, Power Gen/Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Some Mining Experience, Industrial Engineering, Process Flows/Efficiency, Organizational Type Business Experience, Project Management Office, Enterprise Asset Management

Must-Have Skills:

  • 6+ years combined experience in project leadership of the development, start up and commissioning of technical projects - completing projects in critical environments. Understanding of what critical risk is.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience understanding and auditing blueprints/CAD infrastructure and control drawings and diagrams (Sequence of Operations, Piping & Instrument Diagrams “PID”
  • Experience working with engineering teams. Translating engineer requirements to leadership.
  • PMP or IPMA Certification
  • Enterprise Software, Software-at-Scale

Travel Required?

  • Limited travel to data center and vendor sites for engineering studies and onsite technical project support may be required.

Duties:

  • Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates, and our innovative services are delivered.
  • Establishing new regions in the US, Europe, and Asia are important next steps in the evolution of Client infrastructure expansion.
  • The Facility Operations Business Operations Excellence (BOE) team provides oversight and leadership for critical programs across the organization, including delivering proactive and responsive full-life-cycle engineering expertise to the teams who operate and support our expanding global fleet of data centers.
  • The Engineering Program Management role will lead a broad range of technically complex, highly cross-functional, engineering design, planning, implementation and coordination activities spanning all engineering disciplines in partnership with the Facilities Engineering team as well as in collaboration with many teams across the Infra organization.
  • The EPM will support our data centers with technical program management, expert analyses, and implementing solutions broadly across all regions to advance Client operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Works across regions to understand and correlate technical support needs and priorities.
  • Develops detailed Facilities Engineering roadmaps in support of the overall engineering strategy.
  • Communicates roadmap, and actively works with the regions to develop engineering execution and resource plans.
  • Collaborates with internal and external strategic partners spanning all disciplines and functions within the Infra Data Center organization.
  • Develops, analyzes and publishes critical engineering and project performance metrics.
  • Develops processes and methodologies to drive quality, reliability, and efficiency improvements throughout all engineering and project management activities.
  • Leads technical cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Routinely report and present to peers, partners and leadership.
  • Establishes project success criteria with stakeholders, leads acceptance phase of project and ensures project delivery meets defined requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project delivery plans and schedules.
  • Effectively manage and deliver successful outcomes across a varied portfolio of complex data center projects.
  • Some travel to data center and vendor sites for engineering studies and onsite technical project support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years combined experience in project leadership of the development, start up and commissioning of technical projects
  • BS degree in engineering or computer science field
  • Proven track record in project development and project management for critical facility, including related trade work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in engineering or computer science field
  • Experience understanding and auditing blueprints/CAD infrastructure and control drawings and diagrams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • PMP Certification
  • Years of Experience 7+

Degrees/Certifications:

  • BS degree in engineering or computer science field

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Managing 3-8 projects ranging from preparing fleet for maintenance, working with engineering teams to generate KPIs, working with engineering teams on data management systems, server maintenance.
