We’re seeking a determined and passionate QA Automation Engineer to join us remotely and help us elevate Ready or Not to new heights. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.

As our QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our game development process. Collaborating closely with programmers, testers and producers, you will implement automated testing procedures to streamline processes, catch bugs early and ensure a smooth release. Your expertise in automated test procedures, basic coding skills and understanding of the development cycle will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our projects.

In this role, you’ll be in charge of:

  • Developing and implementing manual or automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, security and stability.

  • Collaborating with the core team to understand the game vision and requirements, translating them into effective test cases and procedures

  • Assisting Producers with the creation of a comprehensive testing roadmap

  • Proactively identifying and addressing potential risks through comprehensive test coverage and risk analysis

  • Documenting and tracking defects found during testing, providing clear steps to reproduce issues and prioritising them based on severity

  • Performing regression tests to ensure that new features or code changes do not introduce regressions or break existing functions

  • Providing regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to the greater team

Here’s what you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.

  • 3+ years experience in QA automation testing or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and best practices

  • Experience with industry standard automation testing tools

  • Basic knowledge of video game development is a plus, but not required

  • Experience with release and build processes is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.

If this sounds like you, please submit your resume, portfolio, and an optional, brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are excited about this opportunity.

We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how you can contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional gameplay experiences!
