Job Description
We’re looking to hire a Product Marketing Manager who has proven results, a track record of success, and a portfolio to prove your execution in a B2B SaaS company with at least an 8-figure ARR and serving SMBs in the US market. This role reports to the Head of Marketing.
About Us:
Smarter Contact is a fast-growing SaaS with a text and voice messaging communications platform enhanced with AI technologies serving real estate professionals in the US market. We're the real estate market leader, and we're always looking for performance-driven team members to join our growing team.
About You:
As part of the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for increasing user adoption and driving product-led growth in close collaboration with the product team. A qualified individual for this role will be an experienced product marketing professional who is able to proactively drive processes, take ownership of outcomes, and effectively report KPIs to leadership.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, independent strategic thinker who brings deep expertise in ideating, executing, and scaling product marketing campaigns within B2B SaaS organizations serving SMB customers (preferably in real estate).
Qualifications:
- You have 7+ years of marketing experience, with your most recent experience at a B2B SaaS company serving the US market.
- You have a minimum of 5+ years of specialized experience in product marketing at the manager level or above, leading the ideation, execution, and scaling of product marketing campaigns.
- You have a minimum of 3+ years of experience owning product messaging and positioning. You’re a master copywriter with strong acumen for direct-response copywriting.
- You have set up from scratch and had full ownership of in-app product marketing campaigns using solutions such as AppCues, OnRamp, UserPilot, or similar to capture demand for both self-onboarding and sales-assisted products and services.
- You bring deep experience with product marketing campaigns and proven excellence in campaign segmentation and measurements to produce benchmark results.
- You have successfully implemented, executed, and scaled integrated campaigns, and you can prove it.
- You accomplish a lot with limited resources as an individual contributor and do not depend on specialists to produce a campaign from idea to launch.
- You’re hands-on in your approach and balance strategy and execution with a bias to an execution-first approach.
- You are proactive at driving processes, taking ownership of outcomes, and effectively reporting on KPIs to leadership.
- You are proficient at independently managing projects and expectations to deliver quantifiable results.
- You are very detail-oriented, process-driven, and highly organized.
- You love everything about data and using data to make informed decisions.
- You can effectively apply logic to your decision-making and have a preference for it.
- You have a self-starter mentality with creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and “Google it” when needed.
- You are scrappy, resourceful, and always present solutions, not problems without solutions.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You are a team player, a quick learner, and highly coachable with a positive can-do attitude.
- You have the ability to work autonomously, independently, collaboratively, and effectively as part of a remote team.
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to succinctly communicate value propositions.
- You have professional proficiency in the English language.
- You must be willing, able, and available to work in US time zones during defined times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- You are a web in-app product marketing expert.
- You have certifications that support your areas of expertise (i.e. Product Marketing Alliance).
- You’ve previously worked as a product marketing manager at a company serving real estate professionals.
What you’ll do:
- Own product messaging and positioning paired with a deep understanding of our ideal customers to produce pricing strategies that incentivize customer upgrades cross-sells, and user adoption.
- Conduct deep competitor research and create competitor comparison landing pages that profitably convert high-intent search traffic.
- Leverage your deep attention to detail paired with your direct-response copywriting skills to develop integrated campaigns that persuade most to take action.
- Own the creation and maintenance of product knowledge databases for both external and internal use.
- Create and optimize user onboarding experiences to reduce time-to-value and increase trial-to-paid conversions.
- Take ownership of customer communications for product releases, updates, and news.
- Successfully execute product launches and campaigns leading up to it, and bring a successful playbook you can leverage.
- Be an active contributor in the development and management of customer advocacy programs such as user referral and/or affiliate programs.
- Collect customer feedback through surveys, direct customer communications, and beta groups, and use them to create user stories and case studies.
- Ensure processes are systemized, documented, maintained, and executed to minimize knowledge gaps and optimize collaboration between teams.
- Be a champion of sales and marketing alignment and collaborate with sales to grow both a marketing-qualified and sales-qualified pipeline.
- Partner with our research and development teams to optimize product-led initiatives to capture and create demand for monetized features.
- Gather insights and analyze results for future business expansion campaigns to generate MQLs. and SQLs.
- Analyze data to measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to allow for accurate forecasting.
- Document the processes and execution of integrated campaigns with video recordings captured in Loom and uploaded to Trainual.
- Report KPIs on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and use quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize.
