As a Product Manager on the Hivemind team, you will lead efforts to identify and address the most critical autonomy needs for Shield AI and its customers. Collaborating with a cross-functional team—business development, program managers, engineers, and executives—you'll help define what we build, when, and for whom. This high-impact role requires deep expertise in the testing, development, procurement, and operational use of launched weapons and munitions—from cruise missiles to long-range guided rockets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Represent product management of the Hivemind munitions portfolio and ensure product strategy and roadmap alignment to the market and customer needs.
- Maintain awareness of technology and business trends within the USG armament directorates, executive offices, and industry vendors.
- Track progress of autonomy features and forecast requirements to meet portfolio needs.
- Work with other Product Managers, Program Managers, Business Development, sponsors, operational end-users, industry partners, and a talented cross-functional engineering team to determine what we will build, when, why, and for whom.
- Incorporate operational experience and operational test insights to ensure real-world applicability of autonomy solutions.
- Document and communicate your findings via a variety of artifacts, including product roadmaps, PDDs, whitepapers, CONOPs, CONEMPs and presentations as required.
- Support marketing and sales strategy as required.
- Support business development and engagement as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 14 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 12 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication skills—can effectively communicate with business executives, engineers, customers, end users, senior military leaders, etc.
- 8+ years' experience with defense weapons programs, ranging from requirements, program management, development and test planning/execution.
- Experience and involvement in developmental and/or operational testing of weapons systems.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AF and/or Navy Weapons school graduate
