Our product is designed to provide users with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate a sea of information without being misled or manipulated. Responsibilities
This is a volunteer remote role for a Product Manager. The Product Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our cutting-edge solution for real-time fact-checking, content verification, collaborative approaches to misinformation and forensic analysis to expose its sources. They will work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure that product development aligns with our goal of providing reliable and trustworthy information to our users.
- Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data science solutions within the product.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to develop actionable product requirements.
- Prioritize data science initiatives, manage the product backlog, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Lead the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to development, launch, and iteration.
- Utilize machine learning and AI to build customer-centric product solutions.
- Establish key metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of data science features.
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable, reliable data science products by working closely with engineering teams.
- Drive experimentation and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and improve product performance.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Communicate product insights, progress, and performance to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in data science and AI, applying them to improve products.
- Balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives in decision-making.
- Experience with agile development, sprint planning, and backlog management.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning models, data science tools (e.g., SQL, Python), and statistical techniques.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in product management focused on data science or AI.
- Willing to have fun and volunteer 15 hours/week.
- We have weekly meetings too, that we require you to attend.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of working experience in the Tech industry
• Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to launch.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
