About Visa Direct

The Visa Direct (VD) Europe team at Visa works on designing, managing, and optimizing products and solutions for moving money using Visa's networks e.g. Visa Direct, Currency Cloud and B2B Connect. These products and services are typically aimed at commercial entities, including corporations, small and medium businesses, governments, and other organizations, but also support P2P transfers and C2B spend on multi-currency accounts. VD spans across different dimensions of money movement including cross-border transactions, disbursements, money transfers, and more.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Go-to-Market, the Go-to-Market Strategy Manager is a strategic role responsible for helping to shape and implement the strategic vision for Money Movement solutions across Europe, aligning with global and local strategies and teams, and addressing the unique needs of the European market. The GTM team’s remit covers thought leadership, commercial strategy, commercial value proposition (incl. pricing), and sales enablement.

The candidate will typically be expected to work independently within the team depending on the complexity of the project. They should display strong strategic acumen, top-notch analytical skills, and exceptional stakeholder management skills and understand the payment industry to put the 'Power of Money Movement in the Hands of our teams'. The role is particularly suited to candidates with a Strategy Consulting / Banking background, ideally with experience in transaction banking / FX trading. This position is based in Visa locations in Europe (listed above), with occasional travel (less than 20%) required from time to time.

What we expect of you day-to-day

  • Lead or support strategic projects: Drive strategic projects for Europe Money Movement Solutions, from quantitative / qualitative analysis through alignment with stakeholders to execution.
  • Problem-Solving & Analysis: Crack the toughest problems in a fast-growing and complex space – incl. advanced pricing analysis, business case modelling, strategic analysis.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate closely with a broad range of teams – from Product, Solutioning, Business Development to Cluster teams in other locations, ensuring strategies including pricing are well-integrated and executed across all regions.
  • Market Insight and Competitive Awareness: Conduct market research and analysis, monitor competitors, and use data-driven insights for strategic decisions and thought leadership to drive awareness and demand.
  • Content Expertise: Be the domain expert on our commercial value proposition – synthesising product knowledge and commercial acumen to help our teams optimally position our solutions in the Money Movement market.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key executive stakeholders, supporting Visa’s industry-wide thought leadership, and supporting strategic decision-making.
