Finally, we believe that creativity and innovation belong in all parts of the company in order to drive excellence in everything we do.Position Overview: The Senior Industrial Designer with UX/UI Experience will play a critical role in defining and developing the next generation of Bose Professional products. This role requires a highly creative and technically skilled designer who can combine industrial design excellence with a strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and user research to create cohesive and innovative product experiences across both physical and digital domains.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the industrial design process for professional audio products, from concept to production, with an emphasis on user-centric design.
- Integrate UX/UI thinking into product design, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software components.
- Create and communicate design concepts through sketches, renderings, prototypes, and detailed CAD models.
- Collaborate with product management and engineers to ensure design intent is maintained through development and manufacturing.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to ensure a cohesive visual and functional experience across physical controls, displays, and software interfaces.
- Translate complex technical and user requirements into intuitive design solutions that enhance usability and aesthetic appeal.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design directions.
- Stay current with design trends, materials, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies relevant to professional audio and user interface design.
- Advocate for the customer throughout the product development process to ensure high standards of usability and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the evolution of Bose Professional's design culture.
- Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in industrial design, with a proven track record of bringing products to market.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in industrial design and UX/UI integration, with examples of both hardware and software/interface design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Creo) and rendering tools (e.g., KeyShot, V-Ray).
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with proficiency in UX/UI tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, ergonomics, and human factors.
- Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
- Ability to prototype ideas quickly and iterate based on feedback.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the audio industry or a related technology field is a plus.
