The Senior Principal Business Partner, Marketing Operations is a hands-on leader who serves as a trusted partner to our Marketing & Communications leaders supporting a global marketing organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for partnering with marketing leaders, building strong relationships with other functional departments to influence decisions, driving process optimization and improving the overall marketing program. Ultimately, you will drive business transformation and operational excellence, while aligning our marketing strategy and program with sales and the overall company’s objective.
What you'll get to do
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the business with credibility and influence, from strategy to execution
- Operational Immersion: Immerse yourself in the business, understand the strategic vision, and learn current operations, so that you can ultimately be seen as part of the leadership team
- Revenue Funnel Optimization: Analyze the marketing funnel to identify conversion bottlenecks, assess lead velocity, monitor pipeline health, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize lead generation, nurture and handoff to sales
- Salesforce Process Optimization: In partnership with IT Sales Tech, Mar Tech and Sales team optimize Salesforce processes to ensure seamless lead generation, lead nurturing and pipeline creation, enhancing data accuracy and improving the efficiency of sales handoffs.
- Reporting and Insights: Provide business requirements for the IT Decision Intelligence team to simplify and optimize reports, dashboards and related infrastructure – making consumption of reports accessible and relevant to senior leaders
- Performance Measurement: Encourage best practices in measuring marketing program performance by collaborating with marketers to develop, assess and refine their programs
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with IT and Sales teams to improve processes, define business requirements, maintain accurate data and measure ROI of programs/campaigns, ensuring smooth integration of marketing and sales efforts
- Executive Communication: Create leader-ready presentations with accurate data and relevant insights, ensuring stakeholders have the information needed to make informed decisions.
- Strategic Projects: Support strategic projected as required, driving initiatives that contribute to the company’s growth and profitability
Skills and Experience we value
- Strong technical proficiency with marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms
- Salesforce.com reporting and process design experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and levels
- Experience working with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA an asset
- 7+ years of experience in marketing or management consulting
- Experience supporting a B2B Marketing function and possess a strong understanding of the mechanics behind both sales & marketing functions (i.e. lead lifecycle, opportunity creation & sales stages, forecasting etc.)
- Experience with other Sales & Marketing technology such as Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase, ZoomInfo an asset
