Twingate is building a modern remote access solution that simplifies and improves the way businesses secure access to their cloud, SaaS, and on-prem resources. Twingate is backed by leading investors such as BOND, WndrCo, 8VC, Green Bay Ventures, SignalFire, and Dropbox founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi. Our investors share our belief that in a world where workforces are becoming increasingly distributed, it is critical to be able to effectively secure access to apps, data, and environments.

As part of our company culture, our belief in putting the customer first permeates our thinking in everything from our customer communications to the design process behind the product itself. If you take pride in creating experiences with the customer firmly at the center of the picture, we'd love to work with you.

The Opportunity
This is your chance to become the bridge between Twingate's technology and our practitioner community. As our Developer Advocate Lead, you'll be the face of our community programs, creating compelling content that resonates with practitioners and helps them understand the value of our security solutions. You'll build and nurture a thriving community ecosystem that drives our self-serve funnel while establishing Twingate as a thought leader in the networking & security space.

You'll have the chance to:
Shape our practitioner engagement strategy from the ground up
Create content that educates and inspires practitioners to adopt our solutions
Build and foster a passionate community of Twingate practitioners
Establish yourself as a respected voice in the networking, security and developer spaces

What You'll Do

    • Technical Evangelism: Demonstrate deep technical understanding of our product while communicating its value in accessible terms to IT/Security/DevOps practitioners
    • Content Creation: Develop compelling technical content including documentation, tutorials, videos, and blog posts that showcase Twingate's capabilities
    • Community Engagement: Represent Twingate at conferences, local meetups, and other industry events to increase awareness and drive sign-ups
    • Documentation Leadership: Own and enhance our documentation strategy, creating clear, comprehensive guides that help users progress from free to paid tiers
    • Self-Serve Journey Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to craft exceptional first impressions with Twingate to encourage affinity and advocacy
    • Feedback Collection: Gather insights from the developer community to inform product improvements and new features

A Day In The Life

    • Creating a YouTube tutorial series demonstrating Twingate implementation for specific use cases
    • Developing vertical documentation that addresses the needs of different customer segments
    • Speaking at a developer conference about modern approaches to secure access
    • Building a Twingate brand ambassador program for power users
    • Arranging an IRL meetup for hands on keyboard users of Twingate
    • Reviewing self-serve customer journeys to identify friction and bad experiences and implement solutions

What You'll Bring

    • 3+ years of experience in developer relations, technical advocacy, or a similar role that bridges technical and communication skills
    • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex concepts to various audiences
    • Experience creating compelling technical content (videos, blog posts, documentation, tutorials)
    • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
    • Proven ability to build and nurture technical communities
    • Solid understanding of modern security concepts and practices (experience with zero trust security is a plus)
    • Strong empathy for developers and practitioners
    • An "I'll figure it out" mindset and willingness to experiment across different channels

Why Join Us?

    • Impact: Your work will directly shape how practitioners experience and adopt our product
    • Visibility: You'll be the face of Twingate in the IT/DevOps/Security practitioner community
    • Creative Freedom: Experiment with different channels and approaches to find what resonates
    • Growth: As our developer community expands, so will your influence and opportunities
    • Collaboration: Work across product, marketing, and sales teams to create a seamless customer journey
    • If you're passionate about modern networking & security, love engaging with technical communities, and want to help practitioners do their best work securely from anywhere, we want to hear from you. Join us in our mission to simplify the way companies secure their businesses and help write the next chapter of our success story.
