About Us

We're AAC Plus, creators of Spkeasy, an exciting new app designed to empower non-verbal individuals to communicate confidently through a game-like, interactive experience. Built in Unity, Spkeasy blends education, accessibility, and fun to support real-world communication for kids with speech and language challenges.

We're looking for a Junior Unity Developer to join our growing team and assist our senior developer in building, polishing, and expanding this powerful tool.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Unity app development using C#
  • Collaborate closely with senior developer on UI/UX, performance optimization, and feature implementation
  • Build and test interactive features (grids, games, avatar movement)
  • Maintain clean, well-documented code
  • Help integrate databases and external assets (audio, video, animations)
  • Participate in team meetings, provide feedback, and take initiative on small tasks

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Unity and C#
  • 2+ years of experience (internships or personal projects welcome!)
  • Understanding of basic game architecture and object-oriented programming
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a mission-driven product
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established coding standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Nice to Have!)

  • Experience working on accessibility tools or educational apps
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Basic knowledge of database integration
  • UI/UX design sensitivity
  • Experience with Unity’s new Input System or Animator
  • A passion for building inclusive technology
