The Role
This Software Developer works as a member of our Cloud (AWS) development team, responsible for developing and maintaining our Public Safety and Justice products. They will manage all aspects of developing new features, including developing specs, coordinating with other developers, and modernizing the Cloud architecture.
Job Duties Include
- Work with team to troubleshoot and diagnose application issues
- Design, write, edit, modify, and debug new features
- Prepare for, attend, and participate in all agile scrum meetings
- Communicate with and conduct software demonstrations for internal and external customers
- Research and present new ideas, technologies, and concepts to the team
- Use their excellent understanding of product framework and infrastructure to make recommendations for improvement
- Proactively select Product Backlog Items and commit to a timely delivery
- Engage in code reviews
- Recognize refactoring opportunities and technical debt issues to bring to the Product Owner
- Develop and maintain Automation test scripts
- Perform peer testing of functional changes
- Participate in creating coding standards, best practices documentation, and quality release notes
- Help team to define and adhere to processes around team agreements, schedule, and rules of engagement while holding them accountable to act on retrospective action items
- Become a source of technical knowledge (Subject Matter Expert) for other team members
What You'll Bring to Numerator
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional development experience, including working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience with SAAS development
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Full stack development using C#
- Knowledge of Scrum values, principles, and practices
- Understanding of software architecture, principles, and common design patterns
- Proficient in writing efficient SQL queries and analyzing them for performance optimization
- Self-starter who can work independently in a self-managed team environment
Other Skills That Will Be Valuable Include
- Experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch
- Experience with Powershell and Terraform scripts/tools
- Experience with Cloud Containerization principles
- AWS Certifications a plus
