JOB OVERVIEW:
Weâre seeking an experienced and driven full-time Marketing Operations Tech Specialist to work with our CMO to execute and optimize our Consumer Marketing & Sales efforts across email, ads, social, and various funnels.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a passion and deep understanding of database marketing, campaign management, complex automation systems, is a master of the full tech stack, nerds out about new Marketing & Sales tech, and is excited to deliver results in partnership with our CMO. (If you are a Brand Marketing Manager or Social Media Manager, check back with us in the future, as sadly this is not the one for you).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Email and SMS Marketing Campaigns: Help execute and manage high-performing email and SMS campaigns. Review, revise, schedule, and deploy daily and automated communications to ensure flawless execution and accuracy. Including the managing of specific segments of targeted audience lists for personalized outreach, and coordinating multiple ongoing campaigns. (In short, you are keen to build thousands of emails with killer accuracy, and without missing a single link or tag).
- Database Management: Maintain and optimize the marketing database, ensuring segmentation aligns with campaign objectives and audience insights. Import and organize external lists, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Work with ad teams to deliver insights and continue to grow our community.
- Funnels and Landing Pages: Youâll be helping our CMO build landing pages and sales pages and funnels, including using proven copy to create high-converting pages and funnels linked with automated campaigns. You will also partner with developers and other team members, leveraging your curiosity for testing and continual improvement.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze key performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and recommend strategies to improve engagement, revenue, MRR, and ROAS. You will also be running ad-hoc analyses, building valuable dashboards, and surfacing insights.
- Ownership of Processes: Oversee weekly and monthly campaign preparation, ensuring all communications and landing pages / funnels are aligned, proofed, and delivered to the correct audiences on time with a great customer experience from banner to buyer.
- Marketing Technology Expertise: Leverage current tools like Kajabi, Stripe, WebFlow, and Zapier (as well as some custom coding) to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency. Identify opportunities to enhance Marketing Operations through advanced technology and integrations. Help manage a migration to a new tech stack (Marketo, HubSpot, etc.).
- Analytics: Create and use data analysis to help make better decisions. Use our Marketing & Selling Analytics to create A/B tests and drive initiatives to spark continual growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in Marketing Operations, with a focus on large databases â with 50k+ contacts preferred. If you are not the person that your family, team, or boss come to for help with technology and systems, this is not the job for you).
- Able to work full-time (we're not looking for consultants at this time) and able to work San Diego, CA (PST) hours comfortably.
- Highly organized and obsessed with details.
- Proficiency in a variety of Marketing Tech Stack tools required; experience with our current stack (Kajabi, Stripe, Zapier, WebFlow, PayPal) as well as future tools like ClickFunnels, HubSpot, MailChimp, etc. is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation, various tech stack tools, complex automations, campaign building, analytics, Marketing & Sales best principles.
- A passion for learning new technologies, systems, and emerging ideas in Marketing & Sales.
- Ability to execute across multiple campaigns and funnels on a daily basis, and keen understanding of how to measure performance
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to convey complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience working in SaaS, Tech, B2B and/or scale up companies is a plus.
