About The Role

We are seeking a talented and creative eLearning Media Designer to join our team. This role is essential in developing compelling, engaging, and educational content for our online courses. The ideal candidate will have expertise in crafting engaging scripts and storyboards for eLearning courses and be proficient in producing high-quality video content to enhance the learning experience.

Location: Remote (U.S. Residents only)

Key Responsibilities

Scriptwriting

  • Develop concise, engaging, and pedagogically sound scripts for eLearning videos based on content from Subject Matter Experts.
  • Create detailed storyboards incorporating critical components, including audio, visuals, and motion graphics.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity in educational content.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, creative, and visually engaging stories tailored for diverse audiences.

Video Production

  • Create high-quality videos through filming, animating, editing, and post-production.
  • Design and integrate visual elements such as animations, graphics, and transitions to enhance video engagement.
  • Maintain compliance with internal guidelines and accessibility standards, including captions and transcripts.
  • Oversee video vendors, provide feedback, and ensure projects align with internal expectations.
  • Attend and oversee live video shoots when necessary and create shot lists for efficient production.

Project Collaboration

  • Work closely with learning designers, multimedia designers, and subject matter experts to align media content with learning goals.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and subject matter experts to refine and improve scripts and videos.
  • Manage deadlines to ensure timely delivery of scripts and video content for multiple courses.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure accuracy and high-quality standards throughout pre-production, video creation, and post-production.
  • Review scripts and videos for engaging storytelling, technical accuracy, and adherence to instructional goals.
  • Research emerging eLearning trends and techniques to incorporate innovative ideas into projects.

Skills You Will Need Here

  • Online portfolio showcasing skills, creativity, and expertise.
  • Proven experience in scriptwriting and storyboarding for eLearning, education, or media production.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, and animation tools like After Effects.
  • Strong grasp of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition).
  • Deep understanding of storytelling principles and instructional design frameworks.
  • Strong design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Dreamweaver for editing HTML/CSS.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) for video content.

Salary: $58K - $93K / yr.
