Job Description

  • Role sits 100% Remote and prefers candidates who can work in EST**
  • This will be a 6 Month Contract to start. There is a chance of extension and potential conversion to full time but this is NOT a guarantee. Candidates who have the ability to convert between $100-110k would be in line.**

Lead Designer

Role Definition and Requirements

Position: Lead Designer

  • Objective: Fill the lead design position with a focus on brand design rather than product design. This role will be focused on design execution and is not an Art/Creative Director role.
  • Experience Level: Typically 5-10 years and at a Master Design level

Essential Job Functions May Include

  • Thinks in terms of brand systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands (and their systems) at once.
  • Translates brand strategy into creative action.
  • Possess the ability to develop concepts in a media-agnostic manner and across a variety of business needs while adhering to brand standards.
  • Ensures consistency of brand and voice across digital customer touch points.
  • Has a high bar for creative excellence and ability to push new ideas forward.
  • Stays up to date with industry design best practices to best maximize the impact of creative solutions new design and campaign solutions.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), along with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Word.

Portfolio Evaluation Criteria

Primary Focus: Brand creation

  • Logo design
  • Color palette
  • Typography & Iconography
  • Brand system implementation across various mediums (website, social media, print, sales decks).

Agency Vs. In-House Lens

  • Prefer candidates from traditional graphic design agencies or who have supported B2B brand initiatives.
  • Agency experience implies working on multiple brands with expertise in brand identity.

Desired Design Qualities

  • Design systems
  • Composition
  • Typography
  • Layout
  • Color theory (secondary)

Tools Proficiency

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Figma

Current Team Structure

  • Approximately 30 members including strategists, writers, social team, UX team, and designers. High degree of collaboration within a lean team. Access to external expertise as needed (e.g., social experts).

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
