Job Description

As we build and scale our DataTeam, we are looking for an Analyst who can combine a love of data with both insightful business judgment and impactful communication skills to develop and help in the execution of company-wide data governance and KPI initiatives. You will help empower our colleagues to live up to our values of being Curious and Hungry, Designing for Scale, and exercising Agility using a combination of SQL, Data Modeling, and Data Visualization Skills.
You are ready to partner with Signifyers from all departments to provide analytical insight, market understanding and a strategic perspective when it comes to Product Analytics and the Company’s Data Literacy.
As we build and scale our Data Product & Analytics team, we are looking for an Analyst who will:
- Work with key stakeholders to help establish, collect, and compile critical performance metrics
- Bring new, creative ideas to the team to ensure that Signifyd is leveraging internal data optimally.
- Work cross-functionally to transform data from different sources into usable fields and reports with LookML
- Present data/reporting and lead training sessions for internal Signifyd teams to better self-serve in Looker
- Address ad-hoc reporting requests from cross-functional stakeholders using Looker and DBT
- Build and utilize automation (Atlassian, Fivetran, DBT) to streamline customer reporting needs
- Partner with internal teams to support merchants with custom reporting infrastructure and feed insights into our reporting product
- Document new tools, processes, and product information to standardize knowledge across the team using Confluence
- Partner with Data Platform Engineering to migrate existing infrastructure to new platforms (Databricks)
- Self-starter who thrives under ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- 12 hr alerting on-call shifts 1-2 times a quarter for one week at a time for data modeling alerts
Requirements for the position:
- 1-3+ years of experience in an analytical role (product analyst, operational analyst, strategy, etc.)
- Fluent in English
- Intermediate experience writing/reading SQL queries
- Exposure to data modeling in dbt or other data transformation tool
- Team player with experience working cross-functionally with teams around the world
- Passion for e-commerce and new technology, background in e-commerce, payments, fraud or data science is a plus
- Demonstrable proficiency using data visualization software (Looker/Tableau or equivalent) to create reports and dashboards
- Experience using JIRA or other ticketing tool to balance workload
- Intermediate LookML experience
- Experience working with Databricks
