Job Description
We are a rapidly growing YouTube channel and media brand dedicated to creating high-quality skiing content—from detailed mountain reviews to travel insights and gear breakdowns. With an engaged audience across YouTube, Instagram, and email, we aim to be the go-to resource for passionate skiers and outdoor adventurers.
As our Content Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of our content operation—collaborating closely with the CEO to develop and execute a cohesive strategy across video, email, web, and social platforms.
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Content Manager to lead the planning, production coordination, and publishing of all brand content. This role is ideal for someone who can think both strategically and tactically, with strong writing skills and a deep understanding of digital publishing workflows. You will manage the content calendar, write scripts and copy, coordinate with the video editor and other contractors, and ensure everything aligns with the brand voice, timeline, and goals.
- Develop and maintain a weekly content calendar across all channels (YouTube, Instagram, newsletter, website).
- Collaborate directly with the CEO to set content strategy, brainstorm video ideas, and plan seasonal themes.
- Write scripts and outlines for weekly YouTube videos and based on raw footage, past performance, and audience needs with direction from the CEO.
- Draft and publish weekly newsletters using content from the videos and other updates.
- Update and manage the website (Squarespace) and blog, ensuring all content is visually clean, SEO-friendly, and up to date.
- Coordinate closely with the video editor to ensure on-time delivery of assets, providing creative briefs and direction as needed.
- Monitor content performance and adapt strategy accordingly.
- Ensure all written and visual content is on-brand, engaging, and accurate.
- Proven experience in content planning, writing, and editorial management, preferably in a digital or YouTube-focused environment.
- Excellent writing and editing skills—especially in crafting clear, engaging scripts and newsletters.
- Technologically fluent—comfortable using and learning tools such as Squarespace, Google Workspace, Notion, Trello/Airtable, and social platforms.
- Ability to create high-quality content in partnership with AI tools like ChatGPT—knowing how to prompt, refine, and elevate ideas with AI support.
- Basic understanding of YouTube publishing workflows and content best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to hit monthly deadlines.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and creativity.
- Passion for skiing, snowboarding, or the outdoor/travel space is a huge plus.
- Work remotely and flexibly.
