Full-Time AI Engineer (Contractor) – Build an AI-Powered Healthcare Platform

We’re looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our team full-time as a contractor and help build an AI-powered healthcare platform. This is a long-term, fully remote position where you’ll have a major impact on shaping the backend and AI models of a cutting-edge healthtech product.

You’ll work closely with our team to develop, optimize, and deploy AI models while ensuring a scalable and efficient backend. We need someone who is not just a coder, but a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML models for healthcare applications.
• Build and optimize scalable backend systems (APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure).
• Work with LLMs, NLP, and predictive analytics to enhance AI capabilities.
• Strong experience in machine learning
• Expertise in LLMs, GPT-based models, NLP, and AI-powered automation.
• Experience integrating and fine-tuning GPT APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Mistral, etc.).
• Understanding of model training, inference optimization, and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Java
• Experience building scalable APIs (Java, FastAPI, Django, Flask, Node.js).
• Strong knowledge of databases
• Experience deploying and managing AI models on cloud platforms
• Python experience for AI model integration and API development.
• Experience working with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB) for LLM applications.
• Security best practices for AI-powered healthcare applications (HIPAA compliance preferred).
• A problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
