What we need:
We are seeking an application engineer who is excited about working on automotive electronics applications based on MCU software and hardware development.
You will support to resolve the technical issues from FAE and customer. Another, you should learn the new MCU product especially for some new characters in key technical applications such as xEV, AI, vehicle Network and so on. Then take training to FAE. Finally, cooperate with 3rd party to strengthen ECO system for our product.
So excellent communication skills and technical knowledge are required as you will work across geographies both internally and in support of our global customer base. We’re looking for someone eager to learn, ready to hit the ground running, you.
Automotive MCU Applications Engineer, Overview:
The position is the interfaces with product, test, and design engineering with a focus on customer systems application/design-in and collateral related tasks for new and existing products.
Responsibilities
- Customer & FAE Technical Support & Solutions
- Provide on-site/remote technical support for MCU-related issues from FAEs and customers.
- For difficult or challenging issues, try to collaborate with BU technical experts to find the best solutions.
- MCU Reference System Development & Support
- Design and develop embedded software/hardware reference systems for new MCUs or key technical applications (e.g., Inverter, DCDC, Network, powertrain, chassis, body control systems).
- Focus on implementing low-level drivers (MCAL), functional modules, and reference system integration for automotive controls application (e.g., BCM, domain controllers, power system controllers)
- Optimize embedded system performance through MCU chip-level software design, ensuring low power consumption, high reliability, and real-time compliance.
- Involved in fusa(ISO26262) and security(ISO/SAE21434) application.
- Automotive Development & Emerging Technology Research
- Familiar with CAN/LIN/FlexRay, MOST/CAN FD and other in-vehicle bus protocols, can perform network driver development, understand architecture design and protocol conversion, etc;
- Be familiar with xEV (Electric Vehicle, Intelligent Networked Vehicle) technology trends, and participate in research on motor control, network management, thermal management and other application development.
- Be involved in AUTOSAR architecture learning and trying to adapt Classic AUTOSAR platform based on MCAL.
- Learn new automotive EE architecture (e.g. centralized domain control architecture, Zonal ECU design) with MCU technology
